Your Instructor
Hi! I'm Dr. Susan Fay
As a scientist and researcher, I wanted to discover the invisible things that great horsemen and horsewomen do that make their techniques work so effectively. I spent decades training horses and learning more about human and animal behavior, physiology, neurology, and psychology. While this knowledge and experience was helpful, it was my exploration into energy and the energy field that catapulted my work with horses and people to an entirely new level. The breathing method I present in this course represents a fusion of science with spirit, thus embodying the new movement in the horse world toward more evidence-based and empathetic horsemanship.
Sacred Spaces Teachings
'The Sacred Breath' is the foundation for all the Sacred Spaces energy techniques that I teach. When you go "wireless," you will find that your communication with others is clearer and more concise, your self-awareness increases, and your relationships improve, whether human or animal!

MODULE 2
Understanding the Sacred Breath
In this module, you will gain a deeper insights into breathing and energy from a combined scientific and spiritual perspective. You will discover the power of the Sacred Breath! The five lessons in this module cover:
- The importance of breath and energetic awareness
- The mental and physical health benefits of this breathing method
- Stories and examples of how the Sacred Breath can enhance your life
MODULE 3
The Sacred Breath
The Sacred Breath is the foundation for ALL Sacred Spaces energetic techniques. Breath and body awareness will help build relaxation and connection with yourself and others. The five lessons in this module cover:
- Foundational Skill #1
- Foundational Skill #2
- Guided meditations, exercises, and journal
MODULE 4
The Sacred Breath: Practice
Practice is the key to mastering the Sacred Breath. The suggestions provided in this module will help you achieve proficiency in these two Sacred Spaces foundational skills. The four lessons in this module cover:
- Practice suggestions
- Breathing experiments to do alone and/or with your horse
- Action steps to enhance learning outcomes and track your progress
MODULE 5
Sacred Breathing with Equines
You will now discover ways to apply your new Sacred Breath skills to interactions with equines. Your four-legged instructor(s) will let you know when you get it correct! The six lessons in this module cover:
- How to teach the Sacred Breath to equines
- Incorporating the Sacred Breath into leading and riding
- The effect of the Sacred Breath on a horse's mental health and emotions
The course will conclude with a recap of the foundational skills you learned, and the next steps to take in your Sacred Spaces journey. You can continue to enhance your Sacred Spaces skills if you wish to become your horse's "once-in-a-lifetime" human!
